Directions from I-57: Exit I-57 at the I-72 exchange into Champaign. This becomes University Avenue, which is a one-way street and often a speed trap. Continue east on University Ave. into downtown Champaign. Turn right (south) on Neil Street which follows the train tracks. At Kirby Ave (Merry Ann's Diner is on the left), turn left and continue past the UI Stadium and the Assembly Hall to Fourth Street. Turn left on Fourth Street (heading north now) and after one very long block, begin looking for a parking space on Fourth Street. If you are going to Temple Buell Hall, turn right on Peabody (see lower map). Note that many streets on
campus are part of a 25MPH speed limit zone. These are posted and
often enforced. |
