How to upload files

• You must be logged in before you can upload files.
• Depending on your role, you can either only upload files in your own folder, or in a selected set of folders. The process is the same in any case.
• You will see the editing tabs and the "add new item" menu, if you are have upload permission.

frequently used upload format for LEAM users:

• File - an external file to plone. "file" items are meant to be downloaded； you can't edit it after you put it in plone.
• Folder - create a folder under current directory.
• image - upload an image file, it can be gif, jpg or pdf.
• page - html file, you can either upload a html file from external or directly created html code there. The external html file will be editable after it is uploaded to plone.

Status for uploaded file and folder
Default status for uploaded file and folder is visible which can only be viewed and editable by leam users.

There are four states:

• visible - default status for leam plone uploaded file and folder. Visible file/folder can only be viewed and editable by leam users.
• private - make private means only the owner has the right to read and write.
• publish - readable for web visiter.
