Peidi Chin joined the University of Illinois in Fall 2001 and LEAM in Fall 2004. She is currently working on the economic driver model for Peoria. A master’s student in the University of Illinois Urban and Regional Planning Department, Peidi’s intended concentration is in economic development planning.

Peidi graduated in 2004, with a BS in Economics and a BA in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Illinois. Her exposure to both economics and planning as an undergrad inspired her to further explore the interrelationship between the two disciplines. Peidi’s interests include policy implementation and environmental economics.

During her spare time, Peidi enjoys reading, dancing, playing squash and trying different type of cuisines. She also loves traveling, and has traveled to Canada, UK, Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and various parts of Asia. She would like to visit South America next, and
someday travel to South Africa.
