Suzanne began working with LEAM in fall 2002 when she entered the Department of Urban and Regional Planning as a Master of Urban Planning student. She has worked on various tasks with LEAM, including most recently the development of a spatialized school cost model for the Peoria Tri-County area. Her new task is to report the interaction and process that occurs between the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission and LEAM, including how the planning commission is using LEAM results to implement plans for the tri-county area. Suzanne received her BS from the University of Illinois, where she studied resource economics and environmental management as an undergraduate. Her senior thesis work involved the valuation of groundwater in Illinois as part of a larger report on Natural Resource Damage Assessments. She was also involved in the development of the Environmental Fellows Program Report on Campus Sustainability at the University of Illinois, and has interned with both the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. Suzanne’s interests include environmental and land use planning.
