Yu began working with LEAM in fall 2002. She is currently working on the economic driver model and the fiscal impact model.

Yu is studying for her master’s degree in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, UIUC. Her research interests include regional economic development, downtown planning, and international planning. Before Yu came to University of Illinois, she received her BS in Urban Studies and Regional Planning from Peking University, China.   

Yu likes traveling very much. Her dream is to travel all over the world. She enjoys taking pictures while traveling. In her free time, she swims, plays badminton, and surfs on the Internet.
